Following the latest qualification round, 15 out of the 16 contenders have now ensured their spot for UEFA Futsal EURO 2022, to be held in the Netherlands. The winners of the playoff between Serbia and Belarus in November will be the last team to book their tickets.
Qualified nations for UEFA Futsal EURO 2022
The European championship will be taking place next year from 19 January to 6 February. The host cities are Amsterdam (Ziggo Dome) and Groningen (MartiniPlaza). Apart from the Netherlands as hosts, Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Russia and Spain have also secured their participation in the tournament.
After the qualification matches of recent days, the number of qualified countries has now gone up to 15. This is because Georgia, Slovenia, Portugal, Slovakia, Finland, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Poland are also certain of a place at the largest UEFA Futsal EURO yet. Portugal will therefore be able to defend its 2018 title.
