Our commitment moving forward is to support the Brazilian Football Association and FIFA in ensuring the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 is a huge success. - Foto: KNVB Media
BNG2027 offers its congratulations to the Brazil Football Association following the decision by the FIFA Congress to choose Brazil as host for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.
In what was a hard fought campaign, BNG2027 recognises the quality of the Brazilian Football Association’s bid and the respectful spirit in which the process was conducted. While there is disappointment, given the meticulous planning and effort that has been undertaken over many months to losing today’s vote we recognize that in any contest of this nature there is no guarantee of success. We are however very proud of our efforts which have reminded everyone that as nations Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany will always stand up to their responsibilities in putting themselves forward to the service of FIFA and the game globally.
We would like to express our deep appreciation to the many domestic stakeholders who have supported us throughout the bidding process and to our fellow Member Associations for the openness and interest that they have shown us over recent times. We look forward to engaging with them further in the months and years ahead as we pursue our common objectives around women’s football ongoing development which is central to the strategies that guide our efforts as National Associations and which will build upon the work undertaken as part of our bid.
Our commitment moving forward is to support the Brazilian Football Association and FIFA in ensuring the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 is a huge success and profiles the women’s game in its best light as it continues on its journey to fulfill its full potential.
