The KNVB does not support FIFA's proposal to establish a new company, FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE). Under this proposal, the commercial rights and activities relating to all FIFA World Cups, including the FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Women's World Cup, all FIFA youth World Cups and the FIFA Club World Cup, would be brought together within a single entity. The interests of the game must always take precedence over commercial interests. Together with all European football associations, we have agreed not to participate in FIFA competitions for as long as FIFA keeps this proposal on the table.
International football exists not only for national associations, but also for our clubs, competitions, players and supporters, across both professional and grassroots football. We are encouraged by the fact that our position is broadly supported by all European football associations.
Together with UEFA and the other European football associations, we remain fully committed to good governance and to safeguarding the long-term future of international football. We will not compromise on these principles.
