The kick-off of UEFA Futsal EURO 2022, the biggest European Futsal Championship ever, is just around the corner. From 19 January to 6 February 2022, the Ziggo Dome and MartiniPlaza will be the stage for the best futsal players of Europe. For the first time in history, sixteen countries will fight for the European title.

Friday evening, 14 January, there will be a new COVID press conference held by the Dutch government. We will await their announcement before we decide whether we could allow spectators in our venues.

Gijs de Jong, tournament director UEFA Futsal EURO 2022: "We are in close consultation with the Dutch government about which scenarios for the public are feasible. We are currently looking at all options: from without an audience to full capacity and various variants in between, such as the current policy in the cultural sector and the EURO2020 scenario. We keep 15 January as the latest date to make a choice for at least the matches in the group phase. Until then, we try to remain flexible. We only have one goal: to ensure a sporting breakthrough and growth of futsal in the Netherlands.

What does this mean for ticket sales?

It is still possible to buy tickets for UEFA Futsal EURO 2022 via futsaleurotickets.nl. For this European Championship a COVID refund guarantee applies. This means that if a match is postponed, cancelled, or if reduced capacity is allowed or if the venue is changed due to COVID then there is a refund policy in place for ticket holders.

Should there be more tickets sold than the capacity allows, a lottery will take place across all ticket categories to decide which tickets remain valid and which will unfortunately be cancelled and refunded. Should this be the case, ticket buyers will be informed about this no later than 15 January. Until then, it is not possible to cancel tickets orders.

On Sunday, February 6, it will be known who will be crowned as European Champion. All matches can be followed online via UEFA.com.
