Football is a universal language, spoken and understood across the world. At the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) every day we see how the game brings people together, regardless of background culture or belief. In an increasingly complex world, football creates space for connection, understanding and enjoyment. We might say that nowadays football is the only place where society really comes together.

Over the past year the KNVB has once again been able to engage with and strengthen its relations with a wide range of individuals and organisations around the world. We are proud of these connections and are pleased to share some of the highlights, such as hosting the Unity EURO Cup and the election of chairman Frank Paauw for the UEFA EXCO, in a visual overview.

We are looking forward to 2026, a year in which we will continue to contribute to a world in which football creates opportunities, breaks down barriers and brings people together.
