Fans from Indonesia visit Oranje and KNVB Campus

Last international break the KNVB showed another seriousness in maintaining good relations with the fans in Indonesia as they invited two fans from Indonesia to experience the great atmosphere during the Dutch national team match in the UEFA Nations League against Poland at the De Kuip Stadium, Rotterdam, Netherlands.

KNVB's Head of International Marketing, Ilja Dijkstra, said that KNVB will not only see Indonesia as a region that has a large fan base but also want to give something special to the Oranje fans by appreciating them as friends and family in supporting the Dutch national team.

"This activity is a gift as well as proof of our seriousness in maintaining a good relationship with our fans in Indonesia. We really want to show our appreciation for their support over the years," said Ilja.

On that occasion, the Oranje Indonesia Trip winners Danang Giri Sadewa and Afrizal Fajar Sodiq from Yogyakarta had the opportunity to visit the KNVB Campus in Zeist. They also had the chance to see the Oranje training session, which was led by Louis van Gaal.

"I thank the KNVB very much for this valuable experience. I was able to witness it with my own eyes and I was up close to Louis van Gaal, Frenkie de Jong, Memphis Depay, and the other Oranje players in their training camp in Zeist," said Danang.

Moreover, the winners were also given special access by the KNVB to watch the Oranje versus Poland match in the UEFA Nations League. In that match, the KNVB also warmly welcomed Danang and Afrizal to the stadium using loudspeakers and greeted them via the electronic board during the first half break.

"It was an unforgettable moment in my life. I was speechless and had goosebumps. A moment that I will never forget is when we got a special welcome as our names were called through the loudspeakers in the stadium and I saw there was a welcome message in Bahasa Indonesia on LED boarding during the halftime," said Afrizal.
