Frank Paauw (Soest, 10 November 1958) has been KNVB national chairman since 27 May 2024.
Football runs like a thread through his life. Paauw is still active himself as a football player with the veterans of Graaf Willem II - VAC in The Hague. And sport in all its facets also came up from his administrative positions with the police. During EURO 2000, he was stadium commander in Rotterdam. In addition, Paauw has been paid football portfolio holder on behalf of the National Police for 15 years. His role as security advisor at UEFA (since 2004) has given him a large network in football with many international contacts.
Frank Paauw is an experienced and versatile administrator. His career is marked by top positions in the police, keen insight into complex social and security issues and a deep understanding of the changing dynamics in society.

In Paauw's vision, the KNVB has an important connecting social role to play: investing in youth football, amateur football, futsal, appropriate football and professional football. For women and men. Paauw: "Without grassroots sport, there is no top sport. I have seen many canteens from the inside, so I know the different cultures within football. The KNVB is a league for everyone. That's what I want to safeguard and build on."
